Silvelox are delighted to announce that the Cloud House, a project designed by K2 Architects featuring Silvelox's Wall Concept, has been nominated for a RIBA award.
The house was built to a tight budget and promotes sustainable living. Cloud house replaces a dilapidated barn in West Lancashire. Kevin Horton, of K2 says: "Cloud House seeks a language and style that has a complex inter-relationship with the landscape and climate that is characteristic to The Moss. The house should be appreciated within the wider context of the flat landscapes, strong light and dramatic weather patterns that form the surrounding environment rather than a simple object in isolation."
The main north and south elevations are clad with Silvelox's Wall Concept, creating a beautiful mahogany façade incorporating entrances to this unique property. Wall concept seamlessly combines cladding with openings, the South side incorporates a concealed door and the north side features an insulated up and over garage door and a front door.
