Brian Perkins is a premium house developer who specialises in creating homes with the 'wow' factor. His latest development was the creation of two 2700 square feet 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom and 5 reception rooms in Cobham, Surrey. We caught up with Brian about his approach to building these properties, and why he chose Silvelox to provide the garage door and front door for them.

Could you tell us a bit about your aims when building these properties?

I wanted to create 2 distinctive houses, which had the 'wow factor' and stood out from other houses in the surrounding area. Good design is critical, so I spent a lot of time ensuring the houses were aesthetically pleasing. I'm a perfectionist so I spent a long time finalising all the finer details of the houses including the garage door and entrance door.

Why did you choose Silvelox as your garage door and entrance door provider?

The garage and exterior doors were a really significant part of the overall design, the front of house is critical to creating the right first impression. I needed a supplier that could provide a bespoke solution to our very specific needs. Because of the calibre of properties it was really important to have high quality doors and more importantly doors that matched! I was really impressed with the practical aspects of the doors such as the high level of security. The unique pedestrian doors within the garage doors and the trackless opening allowed for efficient use of the space inside the garages – particularly important for today's expanding family!
